Farid Ahmed is a graduate of Western New England University School of Law's Juris Doctor (J.D.) program and is admitted to the New York, Connecticut and federal courts around the New York City region (SDNY & EDNY).
While in law school, Farid gained experience in the areas of deportation defense and litigation through his externships at various law firms.
Along with this Farid also brings to the law firm substantial civil and criminal litigation experience. He has successfully litigated civil and criminal cases in both federal and state courts in the New York City region.
Farid has also successfully litigated various immigration trials in all immigration courts in the New York City region and Connecticut. Today his areas of legal practice primarily focuses upon federal/state criminal cases and deportation defense.
C. Ann Whalen
C. Ann Whalen is an aggressive, yet passionate litigator who specializes in all types of corporate law. C. Ann spends a significant amount of time in court arguing motions, settling cases, and attending conferences. Interested, in cutting edge topics in the legal world, she successfully argued an appeal in the First Department in which she argued for greater Constitutional protections regarding privacy. Ultimately, the court agreed with her that there should be a balance between the ability to bring a lawsuit and a client’s privacy on social media platforms. Because of her extensive experience she has been able to achieve a strong record of success for her clients.
C. Ann Whalen, Esq. has been appointed to the position of Corporate Lawyer & Director of International Business Development at Al-Kathiri & Associates in Muscat, Oman. She brings with her close to a decade of experience in the legal field, where she worked on Litigation and Corporate matters, advising Saudi companies on acquiring American businesses. In Oman, she looks forward to advising private and public companies, especially on Corporate Governance. She will also advise companies on how to enter the Omani market and how they can take advantage of free zones and the U.S.-Oman Free Trade Agreement.
Ann was a 2016-2017 recipient of the prestigious Fulbright and Boren Fellowships to study Islamic Banking and continues her Arabic studies in Oman. She is conversationally fluent in Arabic as well as reads and writes in it. Currently, she is working on becoming technically fluent in the language.
Chandra Whalen is a graduate of Smith College. She earned her law degree at Cleveland State University, where she was a member of the Trial Team. She is admitted to practice law in the State of New York and in its federal courts EDNY and SDNY. In 2016, Ms. Whalen was the recipient of the prestigious Boren and Fulbright Fellowships, which allowed her conduct legal research and improve her Arabic skills in the Middle East.

Additionally, she also provides an array of legal services to overseas clients, primarily in the Middle East, including contract review, franchise law, due diligence, and negotiation. In her spare time, Ms. Whalen serves on the New York City Smith College Club Board of Directors and offers to pro bono legal services to Muslim women. Ms. Whalen is conversant in Spanish and Arabic.
Brianda Quiñones is a graduate student at The New School studying Nonprofit Management. She previously attended the University of Colorado at Boulder where she received her B.A. in Political Science. She is a former intern for the Denver City Attorney’s Office where she worked as a victim’s advocate, mostly working with victims of domestic violence. She is a native Spanish speaker who works with clients to educate them about their rights and in resolving their cases.
